Maker Faire 2007: Video Series in 100% UGC, Pure Wool

We’ve been to MAKER FAIRE!!! Attila & I have been really looking forward to Austin Maker Faire (luckily, close enough to New Orleans!) & meeting people who like tinkering with things, have a deeply injected creative urge and innermost curiosity to make, break, recycle, have fun, etc. Besides having a great time at a gorgeous event with lots of geeks and freaks, arts and crafts and kids absorbed in all kinds of creative, amazing or simply unusual activities, it was the first time I had a chance to use my low-budget Sony camcorder and see how UGC videos can be made, and then edited on a macbook.

So in the rest of the posts, I will share our tour, the first Gulf Coast Maker Faire.

The planned topics are the following:

1, Open Source Hardware: Open source software is so much accepted, but open source hardware is still a relatively new term. Limor Fried and Phil Torrone have discussed these things in 15 minutes.

2, Wheels

3, Music

4, Bikes

5, Mix

6, Firewire

or something like that.
